Principal Software Engineer (C/C++) w/ Scrum

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced Embedded/Firmware software engineer with experience in software development lifecycle.  You will be responsible for supporting both the Embedded and Firmware development teams.

Responsibilities:

•    Member of Embedded and Firmware teams using software development lifecycle to delivery quality software releases for Alinity ci instrument. 
•    Work closely with hardware team on hardware obsolescence that require FPGA and Firmware updates.
•    Active participation in Scrum team as part of Agile process. 
•    Perform Investigations on issues found in the field that are Embedded/Firmware/Hardware related.
•    Development of Embedded/Firmware framework.
•    Offer constructive Process improvements.
•    Update Software Design Documents as required.
•    Work with Systems, Architecture, Hardware, and Quality teams.

Requirement skills and experience:
•    Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar curriculum.
•    Previous Embedded, Firmware, and FPGA experience.
•    A solid technical background, with at least 10+ years’ experience in development of software at the board level.
•    10+ years of experience in programming in C/C++, some Python experience is a plus.
•    4+ years of experience working with medical instrumentation.
•    Experience in Atlassian suite – JIRA, Bitbucket, and confluence.
•    Experience in agile and lean delivery concepts and methodologies.
•    Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Preferred:
•    Experience with IAR Embedded Workbench.
•    Experience with Altera Cyclone V SoC based architecture.
•    Experience working in controlled and heavy regulated environment.
•    Experience in Python, Java, and other scripting languages.
•    Configuration Management experience (Bitbucket, git, or equivalent).

•    Experience in leading team in Agile development environment, preferred experience as scrum master.
