Mack Trucks launched the all-new Mack® MD Series of medium-duty trucks , adding to its already robust product lineup to reach new customers and applications. Serial production of the Mack MD Series will begin in July 2020.
Mack also announced a $13 million investment to establish its Roanoke Valley Operations (RVO), a new manufacturing facility in the Roanoke Valley, Virginia, for the production of the Mack MD Series. Mack's investment is being used for equipment, tooling and building enhancements in the 280,000 square feet of the facility dedicated to the assembly of Mack medium-duty vehicles.

Purpose / Description
As a Process Quality Engineer at Mack Trucks , your main role will be as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the core Quality Processes horizontally integrated into the production shop floor. In addition to maintaining and upholding internal processes, you will facilitate the journey to implement Global Volvo Group best practices.
This role will require strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to ensure the highest level of acceptance and understanding of the concepts to be enforced. Due to complexities of the processes and concepts, a strong analytic thinking candidate is also preferred.
Core Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert on application and maintenance of Quality Processes and Concepts
·
Uphold premium quality by advocating for the customer
·
Develop and implement quality assurance processes and tools
·
Support quality training coordination
·
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other quality problems that adversely affect plant operations. To fulfill this responsibility the Quality Engineer shall apply:

Data analysis techniques

Root-Cause Analysis methods
·
Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action Systems

Minimum Education And Experience
·
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline from a four-year college or university

At least 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment
·
CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and /or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred
