As part of the “Balfour Beatty VINCI” Joint Venture, VINCI Construction Terrassement is involved in the High Speed 2 Project (HS2). This prestigious infrastructure project aims at the construction of a High-Speed railroad line between London and Birmingham.

To support the growing needs of our team and its development in the UK, we are looking for a French speaking IT Service Desk Engineer to join the team in Birmingham.

You will integrate the Project IT team and you will:

• Be the point of contact for all VCT UK staff on IT matters and queries;
• Ensure effective, timely and appropriate IT equipment is deployed;
• Troubleshooting PCs and IT issues via remote login or on-site;
• Ensure all hardware / software and IT related problems are diagnosed and handled in due course (securely deleting data on hard drives and resolving malware & virus issues);
• Maintain the hardware and software estate ensuring devices are kept up to date;
• Work collaboratively with teams & project partners to support the operational efficiency;
• Ensure the proper management of IT assets (maintenance, updates, user rules…) and of IT risks (including GDPR management).

Profile

•Ability to easily troubleshoot and resolve PC related hardware, software, operating system, email, printing, and network issues;
•EXPERT LEVEL Windows 10; including Office 2016;
•Extensive experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook Web Access (OWA);
•Familiarity with Windows Server 2012/2016;
•New PC setup and general configurations (HP);
•IPhone/Android setup, configuration, and sync-issue resolution;
•Virus/malware removal and prevention;
•Familiarity with an IT service ticketing system and creating IT documentation;
•Customer and delivery focused.
