Role: ICT Apprentice
Based: Coventry, CV3 4LH
Pay: Apprentice salary level £11,993 (£231 p.w.)
The ICT Apprentice will be an active member of the team providing responsive desktop and network IT support to the whole of Vinci Energies UK&ROI, responding to inbound support calls, resolving issues and participating in special projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are a recent college leaver or looking to start a career in IT. You will be given full on the job training alongside structured learning via an Apprentice Standards programme which will lead to achieving two recognised Microsoft Certifications; MTA Networking Fundamentals Certification and MTA Cloud Fundamentals Certification.
You will quickly learn how to provide high quality ICT support to internal users, supporting all systems and devices and providing day to day assistance to end users.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to get involved in projects, such as the integration of newly acquired business or supporting the improvement or development of new ICT systems and services.
Profile
You should be in possession of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, and preferably a BTEC in Computing and IT (or similar).
You should have had exposure to ICT fundamentals, such as:
- Hardware fault Investigation
- Software Installation, Licensing
- Networking
- Databases
- Web Design, using PHP or other programming language
You must have a passion and interest in IT and technology and be committed to ongoing training.
Communication is an essential tool in this role so you much be clear and concise in your verbal and written communication.
