Job Title: Yard Person

Position Based: Veolia, Whitewall Rd, Medway City Estate, Rochester, Kent, ME2 4DZ

​Hours: 8:00am -5:00pm (one hour break for lunch)

Salary: £22,000

Job Purpose

To ensure the site is kept tidy and clear of litter at all times. Clean inside the site buildings as and when required.

Duties

·
Ensure the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition during and at the end of the working day.

·
Undertake cleaning duties of the vehicles, plant and containers when required.

·
Repair damaged containers as required.

·
To complete daily worksheets as required.

·
To replenish/refill supplies when necessary.

·
To cover holidays and sickness for the cleaning of other areas as directed by your line manager.

·
Compliance with company policies and Health & Safety standards.

·
To wear the correct safety equipment at all times.

·
To work in a structured and efficient way throughout the day.

·
Undertake all tasks in accordance with the Company's Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety.

·
To carry out any reasonable request made by management to ensure the smooth running of the site.

·
To assist in ensuring that the sites remain environmentally compliant at all times

·
To complete any training required for the role.

·
Any other duties as required.

Ideal candidate profile



Qualifications :

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

·
Flexible, self motivator who can work under their own initiative

·
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as on the job training will be given

·
To conform with all applicable site rules
