Grade – 5.2

Location - This will be mainly based at the Head Office in Horsham West Sussex. UK travel and overnight stays will be needed as and when required.

Hours - 37.5

What you'll do

You will be required to produce electrical engineering design packages to enable successful

installation, commissioning, operation and servicing of Combined Heat and Power units.

Provide input and support throughout the full life cycle of a project from Sales to Service.

Support and assist in the sales stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provides

Translate and develop conceptual designs into projects to meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders.

To produce project specific electrical designs in relation to power generation and industrial installations, inclusive of earthing systems, protection systems and fault studies. This is to include production of appropriate drawings and documentation.

Produce specifications, calculations and undertaking component selection.

To produce project specific scope of works specifications in order to obtain competitive installation quotations.

Liaise with the Mechanical Design Engineers in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.

To provide practical on-site support for Project Managers as and when required during installation phase through to commissioning and testing.

To provide design input into “new technologies” as and when required.

Ideal candidate profile

Qualifications :

The experience you will need


Must have HNC/Degree level in an Electrical discipline

Proficient in designing control systems including digital, analogue and safety critical interfaces.

Designing of power systems ensuring compliance with BS7671

Knowledge and experience in installation techniques with Low Voltage systems including earthing practices.

AutoCAD 2D.

Hold a recognised professional qualification in Electrical Engineering.

Hold a current full valid driving license.


An understanding of all aspects of the Combined Heat & Power industry and the necessary interfaces would be beneficial.

You will be expected to work within a small team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers covering a varied range of Turn Key and Supply and Commission Projects from 70kW up to +5MW in electrical generation.
