Qualifications :

Veolia is one of the largest refuse companies in Auckland with approx. 18 heavy vehicles in our fleet. We have an opportunity for a fully qualified, mature, enthusiastic and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Whenuapai.

This is a Fixed Term contract with an immediate start ending on the 5th July 2020.

You will need to have a good understanding of hydraulic and electrical equipment and be able to attend to breakdowns in the North Shore & Waitakere areas.

Experience in auto electrical and gas and arc welding experience an advantage. In addition, a strong commitment to health and safety, allied with the ability to follow instructions regarding compliance in our workplace.

When carrying out repairs, and servicing and checking equipment, it is imperative that all equipment meets our strict quality control standards.

You will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, a good administrative ability and hold a clean, current, driver licence. Class 4 licence preferred.

Working hours are required from 10:30am – 7:30pm Monday to Friday with some Saturday work as and when required.

As part of the recruitment process you will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug test.
