JOB TITLE: Strategic Planning & Capabilities Manager - Unilever International

JOB LOCATION: Singapore

Main Job Purpose

The main intent of this role is to drive and deliver strategic supply chain initiatives and especially digital capabilities which will help in faster decision making and more efficient execution, thus enabling growth. Key job scope includes:

Designing, driving and delivering strategic capabilities initiatives, like:
o Leading and executing all digital supply chain initiatives for UI Go To Market SC (Plan, Logistics, Customer Service)
o Designing, owning and running digital blueprint for future fit UI supply chain
o Change Management for all new digital Initiatives in UI Supply Chain
o Drive Governance for all existing and new programs

Support strategic Planning Initiatives, like:
o Designing sourcing blueprint for the future UI organization
o Designing key sourcing enablers like sourcing decision making process, ‘Make vs. Buy’, 3PM Governance, etc.
o Process design and reengineering for back end planning processes at outsourced service provider ‘Capgemini’
o Design and measure key service metrics for cross border sourcing process in UI

Key Accountabilities:

Designing, driving and delivering strategic capabilities initiatives:

• Leading and executing all digital supply chain initiatives for UI Go To Market SC (Plan, Logistics, Customer Service)
Ø Roll Out Anaplan in all key clusters to enable the Global S&OP process
Ø Roll Out Haven in all key clusters to enable Track and Trace, Container Bookings and Documentation Management for all UI sea shipments globally
Ø SC Lead for all other cross functional key capabilities’ initiatives being driven in UI
Ø Work with UI Cluster supply chain teams to understand current manual processes and evaluate simple automation opportunities
Ø Project Management and Governance for all the key capabilities projects being run for UI supply chain.

Designing Digital Blueprint for future fit UI supply chain
Ø Understand the key structural and process changes happening in UI supply chain to support the exponential business growth and design the digital blueprint to support those requirements.
Ø Engage with platform teams on the evaluation of key existing technology platforms available within Unilever and also work on evaluating new platforms specific to UI needs which are available externally.

Change Management for all new digital initiatives in UI Supply Chain:
Ø Drive and lead the change management program for all new digital initiatives in UI supply chain including but not limited to effective communication, users onboarding, training programs etc.

Drive governance of existing programs
Ø Ensure that already implemented programs are being leveraged effectively
Ø Identify and understand improvements made through agreed upon metrics

Support strategic Planning Initiatives:

• Designing sourcing blueprint for the future UI organization:
Ø Work with UI category planning team to understand key drivers of sourcing strategy for each category and help in designing sourcing blueprint for overall UI Supply Chain.
Ø Evaluate sourcing network optimization opportunities understanding end to end supply chain costs for each lane with the help of supply chain finance.
Ø Work on structural cross category long-term capacity expansion projects.

Designing key sourcing enablers, like
Ø Sourcing decision making process with key sourcing decision drivers which go into making a sourcing decision, like cost, service, proximity to market, etc.
Ø Make vs. Buy process along with procurement team to help in deciding between inhouse production vs. outsourcing to a 3P.
Ø 3PM Governance Process to define the way we engage with the 3PMs and oversee/govern their operations.

Process design and reengineering for back end planning processes at outsourced service provider
Ø Map out the end to end planning processes for UI supply chain and evaluate simplification and automation opportunities.
Ø Design and measure key metrics to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of various planning processes at Capgemini, like demand planning, supply planning, etc.
Design and measure key service metrics for cross border sourcing process in UI
Ø Work with global team to design the key service metrics for a cross border sourcing operation like UI.
Ø Measure the key service metrics to understand the key loss drivers and work with UI cluster supply chain teams to improve those.

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL
• 8 to 10 years in supply chain out of which 2+ yrs should be in Planning
• Experience in leading similar digital initiatives within an organization of similar complexity and scale
• Project Management experience
• Passionate about new technologies & capabilities in the digital space

PREFERRED
• Experience in leading teams
