Job Description

·  Work on the Field project as directed by the Management;
·  Lead the Mechanical Maintenance team in order to improve their technical knowledge on safety and maintenance, based upon experience and learning from own experience as well as from experience international oil companies;
·  Carry out ‘Tool Box Talks’, arrange regular examinations of the Mechanical Maintenance Teams attainments;
·  Responsible for Mechanical Maintenance personnel on following all valid Company operational safety procedures, production procedures, guidelines, orders of employer, regulating acts and safe execution of all works in the production area;
·  Planning, coordination and execution of all Mechanical maintenance activities to ensure system availability targets are achieved / exceeded;
·  Provide Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results. Be held accountable for area of responsibility;
·  Ensure permit-to-work requirements are delivered;
·  Initiate and develop specific Mechanical procedures, work instructions, work plans and testing schedules within the maintenance management system and ensure compliance;
·  Review equipment history files and ensure accurate recorded histories in work order completions;
·  Supervise quality of work by of the Mechanical maintenance Contractors;
·  Ensure that Mechanical work is carried out in accordance with company’s policy, management of change procedures and work permit system;
·  Continually strive to improve plant operability, availability, reliability and efficiency (Uptime);
·  Fully conversant with CMMS (SAP PM);
·  Monitor cost controls and expenses towards optimum utilization of company’s resources within area of Mechanical Maintenance responsibility; question variances between actual expenditure and     budget;
·  Attend MWM meetings and Support MWM Work Order Management and planning processes in the specific area of Mechanical maintenance;
·  Follow the general Work Order Management “7 Step Process” (1. Work Identification. 2. Prioritisation. 3. Planning. 4. Scheduling. 5. Work Execution. 6. Work Closure, Feedback and Documentation. 7. Work Status Control & Performance Metrics) to support provision of robust PM and CM data as required;
·  Assurance of Safety Critical Elements (SCE) through supporting execution of Mechanical Assurance PM’s;
·  Support of Opportunity Mechanical Maintenance / Unplanned Events from a scope preparation perspective as required;
·  Provide support in Mechanical troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, investigations, near misses etc.;
·  Participate in audits, inspections and surveys, as required;
·  Attend and assist supervising major, important and/or critical breakdown jobs;
·  Provide inputs for shut down planning activities within areas of responsibility;
·  Ensuring the operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment are in accordance with the rules, instructions and orders;
·  Monitoring the technical condition and safe operation of equipment, participation in the investigation of the causes of its failure;
·  Keeping records and analysis of equipment failures and observations, summarizing the operating experience of equipment, drawing up reports;
·  Preparation of requests for spare parts, materials, tools and measuring instruments;
·  Organization of acceptance from the installation and commissioning of newly mounted mechanical equipment, conducting experimental work on the equipment;
·  Ensuring the implementation of schedules for preventive examinations and various types of mechanical equipment repairing;
·  Conducting training and supporting personnel in learning of new equipment;
·  Mandatory compliance with safe working procedures governing road safety;
·  Development and implementing a training plan for maintenance staff;
·  Promoting the information sharing principle and good relationships between the operations and  maintenance teams;
·  Ensuring compliance with standards for cleanliness in the workplace, productivity and quality of work;
·  Striving to create an accident-free production environment and a safe workplace environment by investigating and implementing corrective measures for pre-crash situations and all safety incidents;

Qualification requirements:


Mandatory :

·  Higher professional (technical) education
·  Minimum 10 years’ experience in Electrical Maintenance activities in Oil and Gas Industry Advantage:
·  English language skills;
·  MS Office skills;
·  Good communication skills;
·  Knowledge of Asset Integrity & Reliability principles applicable to Oil & Gas Production facilities;
·  Knowledge, skills and experience in Contractor Management;
·  Knowledge of local and international codes and regulations regarding systems and equipment;
·  Thorough knowledge of Electrical Maintenance requirements, Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP) and planning processes;
