Job Description

Reporting to the Lead Well Performance Engineer, the Graduate Well Performance Engineer will act as the Wells Monitoring focal point on CNS Asset. They will be responsible for ensuring wells are operated at their optimum potential and also for detecting any degradation of potential and identify remediation solutions.

Context and environment

Well Performance Group Animation

·  Custodian of the Monthly Well Performance Group Meeting
·  Maintain a high level of communication and exigencies around transverse work  
Well Monitoring Strategy

·  Define the appropriate Well Monitoring strategy (well testing, sampling, analysis, sand, chemical injection...) and ensure its implementation through proper KPIs.
·  Define the appropriate potential alerts and corresponding actions – ensure Operating Procedures are reflecting them.
·  Ensure that any monitoring device is properly working, reliable and accurate enough. Initiate any modification.  
Wells Potential and Productivity

·  Based on Monitoring Trends and Well Test interpretation with adequate models, identify any drift in well productivity from an Inflow/Outflow point of view.
·  Ensure a Short Term Interval control of Wells Potentials through adequate Monitoring Views.
·  Ensure that daily Mismatch is under control and track any potential reason when above 5%.
·  Issue Monthly Production Guidelines (MPG) and ensure consistencies with GSR profiles and OPS vision (Constrained Potential) – explicit any operating constraints.
·  Based on Well Productivity analysis, define the Unconstrained Potential for each well and the actions to secure the difference. Give reason, mitigation measures + estimate a percentage of recovery.
·  Identify short term well threats (producers and injectors) and ensure remedial actions are launched. Make them visible through the Well Perf Group Meeting.
·  Ensure that Closed Wells are regularly reviewed.  
Prosper & GAP Well & Production Modelling

·  Ensure Proper well models are built & kept updated with latest well tests, PVT & reservoir data.
·  Ensure GAP models are built & kept updated on  asset.
·  Regularly QA/QC GAP / PROSPER models playing with various assumptions.
·  Ensure that GAP / PROSPER models are used to proactively detect production bottlenecks.
·  Use of Nodal analysis, multi-parameters analysis, quick-look analysis.
·  IFM/IVM: Ensure that GAP models are calibrated and that input data is still valid. Identify missing nodes if necessary. Track changes. Evaluate/create possible workflows.  
Well Interventions

·  Define the Intervention & Monitoring portfolio with priorities and justification and provide adequate data to Performance and Growth team for opportunity list update.
·  Ensure accurate & detailed Well Intervention Requests are issued on time before the jobs. Have a permanent full knowledge of proactive approach of operational activities (Drilling / Completion / Operations / Projects).
·  Propose the corresponding multiyear schedule with Well Services.
·  Follow-up progress.
·  Ensure accurate & detailed Post Job Summaries are issued less than a month after the jobs.  
Productivity Studies

·  Identify/Realize any Detailed Studies (activation, scaling...) to solve current/future threats.
·  Follow-up when study is delegated.
·  Realize ad-hoc synthesis.
·  Ensure efficient data and document management.  
Sand Management

·  Reference is CR EXP 18 and GM EXP 132.- Proper Monitoring Strategy and Mitigation against Risks should be defined.
