Key responsibilities
As our new decommissioning engineer, you will oversee and follow up on our removal contractors and onshore recycling yards in accordance with signed contracts. It is your responsibility that the permit schedule is maintained and that all processes comply with govern legislation and standards. 

With a great focus on risk management and environmental compliance, you will:

·  Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, HAZID, lay-out reviews, etc.
·  Review and follow-up on recycling yard procedures, permits, readiness, etc.
·  Set up Total representatives at the onshore yards up for success, including ensuring relevant training and information sharing
·  Coordinate with other disciplines in the project team to ensure continuous iteration of optimal solutions and alignment of interfaces
·  Provide technical direction to and review design from contractors
·  Review and follow up on offshore removal preparation
·  Plan and participate in yard readiness audits
·  Ensure hazardous waste management (including NORM) and recyclables management compliance

This entails travelling approx. 40 days a year to visit the yards in Frederikshavn and Flushing and oversee offshore surveys and removal campaigns at the Tyra Field.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a decommissioning professional with a pragmatic approach, a can-do attitude and a knack for building collaborative relationships. You understand the broader implications of technical work, e.g. operability, brownfield modifications requirements, economics, etc., and you enjoy collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to achieve a shared goal.

Your background

·  You have an engineering degree combined with relevant recycling and waste management experience, preferably related to onshore yards and offshore modules within the oil and gas industry
·  You know how to acquire knowledge of and comply to legislative decommissioning requirements
·  You are familiar with the decommissioning industry’s practices and standards
·  You are fluent in English in both speech and writing
·  Preferably, you have experience working with Environmental Data Management

Here, you will work closely with 10 highly skilled and diverse colleagues to ensure responsible decommissioning of offshore modules at onshore shipyards in Frederikshavn, Denmark, and Flushing, in the Netherlands.
