Job Description

• Maintain the following rotating equipment:
      -Centrifugal & Reciprocating Pumps
      -Compressors – all types
      -Steam Turbines
      -Diaphragm Pumps
      -Unit Fans (Fin Fans & Cooling Towers)
      -Unit Gearboxes
      -Tank Mixers
      -Chain-Drive Units
      -Mechanical Seals
• Research material and equipment required to perform job assignments
• Perform job documentation
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures
• Follow safe work practices
• Climbing and lifting required
• Prepare reports, project documentation, modifications
• Work with vendors/contractors on repairs and maintenance of equipment

Candidate profile

• High School Diploma with 5+ years experience in the petrochemical or equivalent industrial field as an inside/outside machinist, millwright, or mechanic; OR a two year Industrial Mechanics Degree, or equivalent education, with 2 years relevant inside/outside machinist, millwright, or mechanic experience in a refinery, petrochemical, or industrial field
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Stable work history
• Willing to work overtime and answer call outs
• Cooperative and works well with others
• Must be computer literate
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Climbing and lifting required
Experience in the following:
-Basic math, equipment theory
-Lubrication systems and lubrication fluids
-Mechanical aptitude
-Metallurgy, gaskets
-Bearings, hand tools, seals, piping, rigging, balancing, torquing, couplings, fasteners, use of burning torch
-Laser & Reverse dial Alignment
-Equipment knowledge in the following:
-Centrifugal and reciprocating pumps
-Centrifugal and reciprocating compressors
-Turbines, gear boxes, fans, blowers, mixers, electric motors, chain drives
-Lathe, Drill Press, Key Seater, Balancing Machine, and Hydraulic Press
-Understanding of refinery processes
• Experience using Microsoft Office Products, Lotus Notes, and SAP
