Position Summary:

 

The Product / UX Designer is responsible for producing wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and prototypes for app and web in a multi-channel environment. This person is also responsible for conducting research and testing, as well as metrics setting for assessing the usability and success of each improvement. The ideal candidate is skilled at partnering with cross-functional teams including marketing and development within ecommerce environment. They are adept at integrating user-centered design principles into new and existing consumer touchpoints across all platforms.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·  Test the validity of assumptions with regard to user behavior in real world tests with actual users at each stage of the process - requirements, concepts, pre-production models, mid-production, and post-production. Analyze test data to: 1. confirm or modify the original requirements; 2. craft and deploy iterative improvements.
·  Continue to efficiently refine, analyze and improve the online shopping experience.
·  Research, brainstorm, iterate, and design innovative user interfaces that are focused on ease-of-use and improving the user experience for our customers.
·  Expertise in producing relevant deliverables including an online portfolio that demonstrates an unfailing advocacy for the user, and highlights detailed site maps, user/task/page flows, user journeys, paths to purchase, wireframes, prototypes that represent interaction recommendations etc.
·  Wireframe, build interactive prototypes, conduct user testing, and refine ideas to seek various interaction challenges.
·  Work with, communicate, and deliver detailed specifications to members of our development team.
·  Prepare and present all stages of the design process to internal teams and key stakeholders.
·  Design and deliver optimized graphics, icons and other assets for projects when vital. Provide hi-fidelity mocks and final assets that implement the brand aesthetics and accessibility guidelines.

 

Team:

·  Work with a team to curate, maintain, and drive the continuous improvement of a holistic user-, business-, and technology-appropriate experience.
·  Strong communication skills to collaborate with the team and various partners.
·  Work closely with Digital Experience, Marketing, Merchandising, and Development peers to ensure vision and expectations are met through initiatives and projects.
·  Ensure creative requests are prioritized, defined and completed as needed.

 

Requirements:

·  Proven 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Ecommerce
·  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human-computer interaction, user-centered design, or interactive design a plus
·  Strong knowledge of prototyping, wireframing, user testing, accessibility best practices, and design methods and tools.
·  Portfolio showcasing design projects, with a focus on mobile web and mobile apps.
·  Strong communication skills; understanding how to communicate to internal teams and stakeholders
·  Strong time-management skills; understanding how to balance shifting priorities and goals.
·  Proficient in Sketch and InVision or similar design tools
·  Knowledge of the intricacies of user experiences across all technology platforms, technical understanding of ecommerce tools, critical thinking and KPI analysis.
·  Basic familiarity with HTML / CSS. Familiarity with Javascript is a plus.
