Job Summary

HomeGoods & Homesense Merchandise Reporting Analyst is responsible for in depth preparation, development and updating of numerous reports which identify merchandising trends and opportunities.  The MP&A team provides Senior Management, Planning & Allocation, and Merchandising information for use in decision making and partners with stakeholders to provide guidance on the development of business driving tools.

 

Major Areas of Responsibility

·  Creates and executes weekly, monthly, quarterly, HomeGoods & Homesense reports designed to identify departmental business opportunities to improve sales, gross profit, and inventory levels.
·  Staying current with the business needs and consistently update existing reports for current and future business needs.
·  Responsible for documentation of weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
·  Identifies and develops data resources to build efficiencies and effectiveness for Store Planning reports.
·  Collaborates with Store Planning teams on report needs and efficiencies.
·  Collaborates with Merchants and Planning & Allocation to identify opportunities for and execute developing business driving tools and reports
·  Provides ad hoc merchandise analysis as needed.
·  Provides Core Planning and Merchandising with reporting that tracks performance of merchandise initiatives.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

·  Excellent organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills
·  Proficient PC and intermediate/advanced spreadsheet skills: Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables, function logic and lookup/reference formulas and charts), MS Access and PowerPoint a plus.
·  Proactive, detailed-oriented, and results-driven.
·  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
·  2-3 years of business analysis experience
