Meet Anka

 

Anka is a Maintenance Administrator Coop in our Property Development Department.  She is responsible for providing support to all stores, including assisting with tracking and coding invoices, monthly maintenance accruals and store supply requisitions into the systems; filing and sorting paperwork, problem solving requisitions and providing clerical support for the department.

 

To us, collaboration is more than a buzzword. Just ask Anka. She loves to share ideas, values the other voices around the table, inquires to challenge thinking and explore possibilities. This is a supportive, stimulating place to work because of open-minded individuals like Anka who push our creative limits. When Anka isn’t finding new ways for us to work together better, she can be found in team huddles and scoring big with her soccer team on weekends.  She just loves the collective win!

 

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Maintenance Administrator Coop, we’d ask you to do the following:

 

·  Assists to provide the maintenance services needed to keep store assets and environment at TJX Canada standards, to ensure customers, and Associates have a clean, safe, secure and comfortable environment in which to shop and work
·  Assist with tracking and coding of invoices and monthly accruals
·  Maintain accurate records of store communications, problems, contracts, etc.
·  Ensure that all Stores have support when a maintenance issue arises (i.e. following up with vendors regarding. Waste Management and Pest Control issues, etc.)
·  Ensure that all services and contracts are implemented according to the contracts specifications
·  Assist with coordinating in-store projects to ensure they do not interrupt the daily operations of the store (i.e. strip and wax, Fire protection testing, etc.)

 

 

Sounds rather challenging and exciting, right? Let’s hope so, because if it sounds easy or boring, there’s a good chance this job isn’t for you. But if it does sound right for you, here’s why we know you’ll be able to handle those challenges.  You have:

 

·  Currently pursuing a College Diploma or University degree or post-secondary education in related field (business, finance, property development)
·  2 to 3 years previous work experience in Retail, Real Estate, Business Administration or Finance would be an asset
·  Demonstrates interpersonal abilities to perform effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented environment, where partnering with others and building strong working relationships are critical
·  Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing needs of the business, and changing priorities
·  Good problem solving, analytical and research skills to identify, resolve issues; ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
·  Excellent organizational and time management skills including prioritizing tasks time, meeting deadlines, working with short time frames
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and within a team environment and build relationships within organization
·  Understanding or knowledge of general maintenance procedures including; waste, pest control, general repair, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), hydro procedures, and knowledge of Health and Safety and WHIMIS procedures is an asset
