Meet Liz

 

Lizis a Financial Auditor II in our FinanceDepartment.  She is responsible forplanning, and performing operational and financial audits.  Analyzes all aspects of operations and presents findings on the results of the audits to Management. Assists the external Auditors to review statutory, quarterly and year-end financial statements; Evaluating TJX's compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley, and evaluate compliance with laws and regulations. This position requires 20 to 25% travel.

Now, if you were to come on board as one ofourFinancial Auditor II, we’dask you to do the following:

 

·  Participates in pre-audit surveys, assembles and analyzes operational and financial data and identifies areas for subsequent audit; prepares specific audit programs for use by the audit team and estimates time requirements
·  Reviews and evaluates all completed work, findings and recommendations for accuracy, adequacy and presence of sufficient supporting documentation; ensures that project work papers are assembled, maintained and filed correctly
·  On larger projects, may direct daily activities of assigned auditors, monitor work progress, provide guidance and adjust assignments when necessary
·  May assist in training other auditors on specific audit area, ensure that auditors understand assignment goals, comprehend audit programs and are aware of the budgeted time allocations. Reviews audit work papers to ensure quality of content, validity and accuracy
·  Decides methodology to be followed for particular audit tests
·  Evaluates the adequacy of work performed by team; recommends if additional audit work is necessary resulting from findings
·  Makes recommendations to Management based on audit findings
·  Recommends changes to audit program, audit department policies and procedures
·  Informs the Audit Manager of audit progress on a regular basis
·  Consults with the Audit Manager on problem areas and recommends appropriate actions
·  May function as lead on some projects
·  Performs year-end physical inventories in all divisions
·  May performs special projects as assigned

·  Bachelor's Degree, Accounting or Business preferred; CPA or CIA preferred
·  Good verbal and written English communication skills required
·  Very good knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing principles Must be very proficient with Excel and Word
·  Some knowledge of ACL preferred but not required
·  3 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent
·  Financial Auditor I
·  Auditor or Senior Auditor in a public accounting firm
