The Role
The Business Analyst for the Global Finance Solution Delivery team is responsible for providing business analysis and functional expertise in the Finance areas.  This person will be working within Global Finance Product team and support backlog intake process, analyze the requirements, identify solution and define the road map for the execution. 

Responsibilities:

·  With some guidance or coaching from a more experienced BA, works closely with Business and IT SME's in performing the following activities in support of assigned projects or initiatives:
·  Develops a strong understanding of the business operations in a domain
·  Works with Finance and Tax applications such as Oracle e-Business Suite Finance modules or similar finance enterprise applications, Vertex Sales and Use Tax, ReconNet financial reconciliation, various Tax reporting systems, Financial Planning and Reporting application such as Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management etc.
·  Analyzes business processes, and elicits and defines both business and solution requirements using industry standard methodologies
·  Drives Stakeholder identification and analysis
·  Collaborates on the development of Test Strategies and Plan(s)
·  Acts as day-to-day liaison between business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical teams

Qualifications:

Critical:

·  2 - 5 years of Business Analyst experience
·  Experience working with Finance business processes is preferred but not required.
·  Demonstrated ability to elicit and analyze business requirements.
·  Demonstrated ability to deliver functional specifications, system configuration and test cases.
·  Knowledge of IT Software development lifecycle and understanding of IT project methodology.
·  Ability to work independently and as a team member alongside matrix project teams.
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Coachable (Nice to Have):

·  Experience working with Finance business applications (preferred but not required) as an IT Business Analyst.
·  Any financial/ERP systems experience is a plus.
·  Knowledge on Agile/Scrum delivery model and working closely with product development teams.
·  Oracle Financial Modules or Hyperion
·  G/L reconciliation experience
·  Advanced degree and applicable certifications a plus.

 

Minimum Experience

·  2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
·  Experienced hire - Relevant business experience and demonstrated Business Analysis experience in requirements definition, design and test phases of a project

 

Minimum Formal Education

·  Bachelor's or associates degree preferred
