JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the initial and continued technical and tactical training of theft resolution and shrink reduction skills for assigned multi-brand Non-exempt Loss Prevention Associates.  Works closely with District Loss Prevention Managers and Loss Prevention Training to assess and improve Loss Prevention Associates to meet and/or exceed theft resolution goals and minimize liability exposures.

Duties and Responsibilities Major Areas of Responsibilities

Training & Skill Development
•     Schedules and facilitates effective and consistent modular training for new/existing Non-exempt Loss Prevention Associates.
•     Provides and monitors ongoing modular training and upskilling to new/existing Non-exempt Loss Prevention Associates.
•     Communicates updates and provides training on Loss Prevention Policies and Procedures to Loss Prevention Associates.
•     Supports DLPM during certification of new Loss Prevention Associates.
•     Conducts training on Expanded Shoplift Guidelines and supports DLPM with certification, if applicable.
•     Consistently provides feedback to Loss Prevention Associates and appropriate supervisors on report writing and Case Management usage for assigned area.

Internal & External Theft Resolution
•     Effectively trains LP Associates on implementing shrink awareness programs and identifying resources to initiate and substantiate cases.
•     Ensures LP Detectives are trained to properly observe, apprehend and/or deter acts of dishonesty from external sources.
•     Ensures the LP Associates are effectively trained to initiate, investigate and close dishonest Associate cases by identifying internal theft methods, creating action plans, conducting surveillances, etc.
•     Focuses additional training and core role skill development for underperforming LP Associates through recommending/demonstrating strategies and core role solutions to improve theft resolution results.
•     Assesses & evaluates technical skills for Loss Prevention Associates; provides feedback to supervisor.

Partnership
•     Ongoing partnership and communication with Business Partners that include, but not limited to: National Task Force, Loss Prevention Investigators, DC/Service Center Loss Prevention, LP Trainers, Home Office Analysts, District Managers and Store Management.

Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job e.g., Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law Degree).
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages).
Excellent communication (verbal and written) Sound judgement/decision making
Good organizational skills and time management
Ability to train Associates regarding loss prevention techniques
Minimum experience required to perform this job.
Experience as a Loss Prevention Detective with 6-12 months experience in a related role.
