Rotating Equipment Engineer

We are looking for a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering Department in Zoetermeer.

You are responsible for all engineering activities related to rotating equipment such as pumps, fans, compressors, turbines etc. You will advise the process department and liaise with all other departments; from Electrical to Construction.

As a Rotating Equipment Engineer you will be a key player in achieving the above. You will perform Vendor document reviews to check suitability of the design. Furthermore, you will review rotating equipment related to Piping and Instrument Diagrams and detailed design drawings prepared by third parties. You will coordinate rotating equipment related engineering challenges with the other disciplines like Process, Electrical and Instrumentation, Civil and Structural, Procurement and Construction.You will prepare hour estimates and deliver detailed planning of your own work. You will report engineering and design status, progress and manpower forecast to the project manager and provide technical assistance to the sales and estimating department in obtaining and evaluating Vendor quotations for proposals.

The main focus of a Rotating Equipment Engineer is:

·Advise Process Engineers in selecting the most suitable rotating equipment for the specific process design;

·Prepare Technical Specifications, Equipment Data Sheets, Requisitions and Technical Bid Tabulations;

·Review Customer's technical requirements and incorporate in project related data sheets and specifications;

·Perform Vendor document review to check suitability of the design, includingrotating equipment related Piping and Instrument Diagrams;

·Assist project department in technical coordination with the Customers;

·Timely report engineering changes effecting manpower and schedule by means of CN procedure and follow-up upon Department and Project Manager's approval;

·On request assist the QC department in performing inspections at Manufacturers shop;

·Incorporate lessons learned (Quality Deviation Lists, Quality Improvement Points).

Who are you?

As aRotating Equipment Engineer you are the go to person with regard to all rotating equipment in our engineering solutions. Therefore, we are looking for the following competences:

·Accuracy: You work with a keen eye for detail, and process data and preform tasks with a high level of precision;

·Independence: you have a problem solving approach and engage challenges based on your own authority;

·Knowledge: you are familiar with the following standards: API 560, API 516, API 610, API 618, API 673, ASTM, ISO, Euronorm, PED;

·Initiative: You see where the opportunities are and take action to ensure these are used to the full;

·Education: A bachelor degree in mechanical engineering;
