Job description

A great chance to join one of the most unique teams in our organization! The PYROTEC department develops Technip's highly sophisticated SPYRO® software which is being used by many of our clients. It's unique in a sense that we are one of the few EPC companies in the world that develops and sells their own software. But more importantly it's unique because of our people: all dedicated and highly driven to make our software even better.

What's the role?

The PYROTEC department focusses on the development of highly sophisticated software used by our Process Department and by many of our customers. PYROTEC is known for the SPYRO® program of which the most recent version is SPYRO® Suite 7. SPYRO® is used in-house for designing of furnaces. Our external clients use SPYRO® to determine the best operating parameters of their furnaces or to choose the best feedstock to maximize their profit. A vast majority of the ethylene producers have the license to run SPYRO® which makes this software a valuable product for the clients as well as for TechnipFMC.

As Sales Engineer you will market our software products both to new and existing clients of Pyrotec. You'll conduct a market analysis and create a vision based on where the market is heading. You stay on top of new market developments and adjust the marketing strategy accordingly. You'll develop and improve marketing material to promote our software products.

Your strong communication and negotiation skills help you in successfully making offers to our clients. For this, you'll work closely with our legal colleagues, however, the position requires you to have some knowledge of legal contract issues.

You'll stay in close contact with clients and investigate their needs for new functionality which you'll translate into development proposals. You'll provide after sales services and act as first point of contact for our clients if things tend to go off track.

What we need from you

You'll have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (or Physical Engineering), a strong commercial drive and affinity with computer science. You have an extravert personality who understands the technical details. You have proven experience (2-5 years) in a process engineering role preferably at an ethylene plant.

Your English communication skills are excellent both in speaking as well as in writing which makes you a valuable business partner for our clients across different levels within an organization ranging from operations to management.

If you recognize yourself in the described profile and you would like to work in a dynamic international environment with motivated and highly educated people, don't hesitate to apply!
