What's the role?

We believe the answers to tomorrow's energy challenges lie in the power of people's ingenuity. To help our clients meet the rising energy demand in the most socially, environmentally, and economically responsible way, we need to leverage the full power of innovation: the capacity for doing things differently and better than before – and that's where you come in.

You'll be responsible for the Catalyst Technology R&D in our hydrogen and ethylene product lines as well as for our new technologies. You'll develop and implement commercialization roadmaps of advanced catalytic technologies for our current and our new product lines.

You are able to quickly identify the latest developments in catalyst technologies and your analytical skills help you to evaluate and assess what the benefits are for technologies like hydrogen generation, hydrogenation processes etc. Based on your findings you are able to put together a business case for investment. Being an excellent communicator you'll ensure your proposal gets the internal support needed to further develop.

In this role, you can apply your project management skills by supervising the R&D project to ensure it stays aligned with the roadmap. You'll find and develop active partnerships with catalyst technology providers to work together and stay on top of the latest developments. Moreover, you'll prepare technical publications to present Technip's technical know-how to the world.

What we need from you

You'll have a PhD in chemical engineering with a catalyst and/or catalytic process and technologies background or a master's degree with relevant experience. Having experience with industrial processes and innovation in the chemical industry is a plus.
Your English communication skills are excellent both in speaking as well as in writing and you are an outstanding listener. You are able to convince others and are able to get approval and support for your plans and ideas.

Your creativity allows you to bring forward different or alternative solutions to solve problems and you are inventive in your approach.
You are comfortable with literature search and patent language.
