Key Activities:

Liaise with internal clients to effectively support all diving equipment in operation.

Provide technical specialist support to ensure effective, maintenance of diving chambers, Mo bile Hyperbaric Rescue systems, nitrox diving equipment, LDC diving systems, umbilicals, Kirby Morgan 501 and 601 diving helmets, SLS and COBRA rebreather equipment, Hyperbaric Welding Habitat and control containers, diver hot water suits, bail out cylinders, regulators, wet bell systems.

Provide input into annual Opex budgets for review.

Support equipment mobilization and maintenance activities on site.

Develop and submit technically details and fully costed capex proposals review.

Support workshop activities as required; such as:

• Carry out any low-scale refurbishments on mobile spread and base equipment;

• Support Technicians (and other Teams) working within the Leith Base that may require assistance;

• [Once trained] Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE);

• In accordance with the Leith Base weekly cleaning schedule: assist in maintaining a clean and tidy working environment in all areas within the Leith Base facility (including external storage areas).

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications (professional, technical, academic):

Essential: 10+ years' experience of maintaining offshore mechanical equipment.

Strong supervisory skills

City & Guilds / HNC in mechanical in relevant discipline.

Preferred: Experience working with large ploughing equipment, flexible lay equipment and hyperbaric welding equipment.

Knowledge of diving equipment and IMCA
