Indirect Tax Intern
We are looking for a driven Tax Intern who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.

To be a strong candidate for this internship, you should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities:
• Analysis and preparation of indirect tax returns.
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Involvement with the state tax authorities resolving issues and responding to notices.
• Involvement with indirect tax audits; collecting and assessing documentation.
o Communication with all finance departments to respond to indirect tax request.
• Assuring proper tax documentation and reviews for non-taxed sales and purchases.
• Maintain and organize filing schedules.
• Assist with any ad hoc special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
• Must be actively working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Taxation, or related program.
• Exceptional computer usage skills with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to read and understand financial statements reported under US generally accepted accounting principles.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
• Demonstrates competency in problem solving skills.
• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum GPA 3.25 or higher.
• Current enrollment in an accredited MS program in Taxation, Masters of Law program or similar field.
