About the Role: (Job Purpose)
This assignment is to provide engineering support to BP in their in-house maintenance and brown-field modification projects. The main field of expertise required is Automation, field instruments and Telecommunication systems. The engineer is also expected to act as Company's representative to review and comment technical documents prepared by other sub-contractors.
In This Role the Person Will: (Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks)
Review technical specifications for Instrumentation and Control systems prepared by sub-contractors.
Review existing control systems and advise modifications required to meet current operations requirements
Prepare scope of work and work packages to modify existing control systems
Assist Company is selection and monitoring of control system sub-contrators
Review existing field instruments and recommend required modificaitons
Prepare technical requisitions and assist in vendor selection
Review construction drawings
Review existing Telecommunication systems and recommend upgrades required to meet current requirements
Prepare scope of work for Telecommunication modifications
Assist company is selecting sub-contractor and supervise telecoms modification engineering and construction
Take part in Factory acceptance tests and inspections
Carry out site surveys as required.
Qualified Applicants Should Have the Following: (Requirement)
Years of Experience: 10+
Education Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or Control systems engineering
Softskill Qualifications: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
Additional Qualifications: Experience in off-shore facilities engineering with exposure to Gulf Of Mexico requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered P.E
