Instrument Technician with global vessel experience

At Technip Singapore, we are looking for an experienced Instrument Technician to join our multicultural offshore workforce.

Job description

Ā·  Responsible to the Chief Engineer for the maintenance of the vessel's electronic systems including, but not limited to, Dynamic Positioning system equipment, Engine Room (ER) monitoring equipment and other department electronic systems.
Ā·  Where a vessel does not carry an Electrician then the Instrument Technician will also assume the responsibilities and duties.
Ā·  Responsible for operating, updating and maintenance of the ship's computer network.
Ā·  Responsible for the maintenance of all radio communication equipment in consultation with contracted ā€œHealthcareā€ Company), radars, and electronic navigation equipment.
Ā·  Responsible for ensuring that a true and accurate record of work that they have carried out is kept and entered in the maintenance records and hand-over notes.
Ā·  Notify the Master of any defects or problems encountered that they have encountered in their area of responsibility.
Ā·  Responsible for ordering spares and stores for the radio and electronics department and liaising with the Storekeeper.
Ā·  Responsibility for the general upkeep of HPR transponders, taut wire units and log.

Ā·  STCW Certificate of Competency - Electro Technical Officer A-III/6
Ā·  STCW Elementary First Aid A-VI/1-3
Ā·  STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting A-VI/1-2
Ā·  STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities A-VI/1-4
Ā·  STCW Personal Survival Techniques A-VI/1-1
Ā·  STCW Security with Designated Duties A-VI/6-2
Ā·  IMCA DP Logbook
Ā·  Valid Offshore Survival certificate / Valid Offshore Medical certificate (OGUK) / OPITO CA-EBS Initial Deployment Training / Bi-Deltoid Shoulder Measurement
Ā·  Extensive offshore experience
Ā·  Customer Focussed
Ā·  Excellent spoken and written English
