Mechanical Engineer

Job description

PURPOSE :

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for support projects in Taiwan and also supporting Great China project.  It includes P&ID design, mechanical design, GA, 2D or 3D drawing and encessary site equipment installation supervision.

It’s required to engage all facets of water treatment projects across the major technologies of UPW, UF/MBR, Reverse Osmosis (RO), Electro Deionisation (ED) and Ion Exchange (IX). The ability to relate to engineers and technicians of various experience levels also represents a challenge.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

·         Responsibilities

-          Design, specify engineering equipment and sub-systems for water & wastewater treatment system with regards to compliance with engineering principles, Suez standards and specifications, applicable local codes & standards.

-          The design of systems and equipment with emphasis on mechanical design including detailed design, general arrangement of the system, skid & platform design, Process & Instrumentation diagrams etc.

-          Develop accurate and detailed documentation including but not limited to detailed design & fabrication drawings, bills of materials, material specifications, technical data, equipment/product data sheets, assembly instructions, installation instructions, operation & maintenance manuals, to enable the correct manufacture / assembly / installation / testing of equipment by others.

-          Specification and selection of appropriate materials and components as appropriate to the design. This will require regular liaison with the Sourcing teams.

-          Provide expert and technical guidance and assistance in support of activities involved in the sourcing, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and operation of \"standard\" equipment.

-          When required, assist with commissioning, troubleshooting or optimization of systems and projects.

-          P&ID & Design drawing review

-          Dedicate to project Schedule, Construction, Budget control, Start up

-          Regular internal meeting with project review & meeting with customer

-          Reporting on project status

-          EHS work
