laboratory setting, including preparation of chemical lab materials to assembling of final product with the use of semi-automatic filling machines and manual assembly tasks. The work of the Consumables Assembler will be done according to instructions provided in the form of drawings, written documents, and other production communication tools. Work Schedule Typical working hours for this position are Monday through Friday:  6:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. with OT as required due to spikes in customer demand, and sometimes Saturday work when needed. Essential Functions/Responsibilities • Perform mechanical production assembly work of high complexity and work within very close tolerances• Create sub-assemblies from a Build of Material (BOM)• Follow a quality-based sampling plan defined by a daily production schedule while maintaining production functions• Process sub-assemblies into final assemblies to be delivered to Shipping• Ensure that all related directions and documentation are accurate by reviewing quality documents, BOMs, quality checklists, and other related documentation• Ensure that all parts and sub-assemblies are correct and to desired specifications• Retrieve material to ensure that stock items are available for production following material flow documentation across the Production Floor• Have sufficient understanding of the products assembled to perform trouble-shooting and rework, when needed• Work from quality control documents, and/or verbal and written instructions, with minimum supervision• Regularly use hand tools, calibrated tools, analytical instrumentation, computers, and telephones• Be comfortable working/producing chemically aggressive fluids, such as acids and bases• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety regulation, as defined, including wearing personal protective equipment• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/lead
