What will you be doing? Scope:

Support the EU Controller in maintaining strong Controllership processes, drive simplification, identify potential Controllership risks, and ensure sites are in compliance with IFRS and local Statutory reporting requirements. Assist regional finance & operating teams to improve/maintain controllership, accounting compliance and internal controls.

Required education and experience:

C.P.A / A.C.A. or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in General Accounting/ Tax/ Audit.
Fluent in English - additional languages preferred.
Strong knowledge of technical accounting and controllership.
Strong communication skills – Able to develop good working relationships at all levels of the business
Challenges the status quo, proactively seeks opportunities to develop finance processes and procedures.
Advanced Excel user - strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros),

Tasks and responsibilities:

This position will support growth initiatives for SWTS in Central & Eastern Europe Regions and ensure strong Controllership and Compliance practices across the region.
Ensure compliance of financial accounting for all regional ledgers including shared legal entities.
Drive compliance with local laws & Suez policies.
Provide technical accounting/financial reporting advice and support. Consultations with Global HQ Controllership / SUEZ internal audit teams / Deloitte / TAX where appropriate.
Work closely with commercial and operations leaders/teams to understand financial/accounting implications of transactions and other matters as required.
Ensure timely & accurate closing for all local statutory ledgers and filing.
Ensure business assets & accounting activities have functional integrity & proper controls in respect of Local GAAP.
Manage external and Internal Audits & follow up on findings specifically ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the audit process.
Partner with FP&A teams to drive Legal Entity profitability, drive Transfer pricing initiatives
Ensure the highest standards of controllership, accounting & compliance for all local reporting.
