Education and Experience:

·  PHR/SPHR certification a plus but not required 
·  Bachelors degree required and 8 + years of HR Experience.
·  Previous manufacturing industry experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment (desired)
·  Knowledge of Federal/State laws as they pertain to human resources administration 

What will you be doing?
We are seeking a dynamic HR/Employee Relations Business Partner to join our amazing HR team.  The right candidate for this role displays consistent passion for people and a passion to support the internal client needs to help drive people success along with a true, hands-on approach   The HR/ER Business Partner is responsible to support internal clients and partner with operational leadership to execute assigned human resource functions and create strong business partnerships. 

Focused on the management of employee relations, the HRBP will manage the sites employee relations interactions along with providing key HR support to the assigned group.  A mature, collaborative, tactically focused individual with experience and comfort working in an industrial/manufacturing environment will be a prime candidate for our open position.

Suez Water Technologies & Solutions Minnetonka, MN site is comprised of approximately 450 exempt & non-exempt, non-union employees and runs multiple shifts including 24X7 operations.  This facility designs, develops and manufactures membrane casting, spiral bound elements and filters to drive our mission to bring clean water to the world.  

 
Essential Functions:
• First point of contact to help support employees with questions, challenges, general support needed in the HR space.
• Manages the site employee relations including conflict resolution, employee grievances and suggestions.
• Manages the investigation and resolution of employee grievances related to employment claims, charges of discrimination including EEOC complaints and employee relations issues. 
• Conducts general interviews, when necessary, in response to employee concern or discipline.
• Provides advice and counsel to employees to maintain a positive, productive employment environment free of discrimination and inconsistencies. 
• Serves as liaison for voicing employee concerns to management and vice versa when needed.
• Provides performance counseling to employees and/or supports management in documenting and delivering performance counseling (including terminations).
• Coaches employees, supervisors and colleagues assisting them in problem resolution trends and root cause analysis and provides recommendations for reducing the number of overall employee relations issues.
• Ensures legal compliance throughout entire employee relations process.
• Supports personal leave management in terms of FMLA, STD, LTD, etc. (communication, tracking, etc.) in conjunction with our site nurse

General:
• Ensures strong communication of all employee programs in an effort to increase employee engagement and morale
• Implements programs related to human resources and employee relations
• Partners with management in communicating various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and governmental regulations.
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment or any other HR related policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records within HRIS system and prepares any necessary reports.
• Monitors and provides feedback regarding local policies, procedures and programs and propose improvements as necessary.
• Participates in local HR strategy development along with executing assigned HR strategy projects.
• Supports line leaders to improve skills and effectiveness and to create an environment where each employee can fully contribute.
• Conducts HR training and presentations when needed.
• Works with local and third party resources to manage personal leave.

 
Other Duties: 
• Complies with and drives compliance with safety practices.
• Ensures the HR function's priorities and efforts are customer centric and aligned to the execution of the business strategy.
• Planned visits to the shop floor to interact and build relationships with assigned client groups.
• Drives community involvement, volunteer program for the site.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
