Job description
Moisture is at the origin of many failure mechanisms observed on devices from different technologies. In order to anticipate any moisture-related failure, all techno qualifications have to go through accelerated stress tests (temperature, humidity, pressure). A study is ongoing since 2017 in CPI team to bring first expertise on moisture impact on materials. We would like to pursue this study by extending it (for example) to low temperature deposition materials.
From a materials point of view the candidate will focus on:
- Water diffusion mechanism (modeling, acceleration factors, effect of multiple stress tests) for different materials. Focus on low temperature materials will be considered.
- Moisture affinity versus hermeticity study (materials comparison): comprehensive study
From a failure mechanism point of view, the candidate will compare the behavior of different materials using capacitance measurements, leakages & voltage breakdowns.
