Job description

- Assist customers with design, test and debug of Power and Analog applications
- Contribute to the creation of reference designs and boards, requiring hardware, software integration and verification knowledge.
- Develop technical documentation including application notes, user guides and design notes
- Assist with the implementation of fully functional demonstration systems, including both hardware and code for digital power applications
- May be occasionally required to present at ST technical conferences and facilitate solution-specific customer training sessions (seminars/workshops).
- Execute other technical tasks as required

Profile

- Minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with MCUs (STM32 and STM8 preferred) and firmware development is a plus
- Experience with electronic CADs and ability to produce PCB layouts of medium complexity
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Power Electronics, related applications and relevant devices, such as Switching and Linear Regulators, Voltage References, MOSFETs and other Power and Analog devices
- Knowledge of Digital SMPS, control system architecture and design
- Proficiency in using Matlab or other simulation tools to develop system simulations that include system models and circuit components, to analyze the potential of HW + SW solutions
- Ability and skills to perform work at the bench in a lab. Hands-on experience with oscilloscope, electronic load, lab power supplies and other bench equipment is required
- Interpersonal skills to interact with customers as required, with the responsibility to support customers engineers in the development or troubleshooting of solutions based on ST power products
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills, to successfully cooperate with ST personnel in other technical roles or product marketing, contributing to the promotion of ST solutions and to the achievement of the assigned business objectives
