NaTakallam is an award-winning, social enterprise that offers high-quality, curated language services delivered by refugees and displaced persons through the gig economy.
NaTakallam provides refugees with the training and mentorship needed to perform the services, which offer a pathway to sustainable income during and after displacement and/or in the early stages of resettlement. Meanwhile, NaTakallam provides clients with a much-needed service that in turn, provides a livelihood to refugees, regardless of their location/status. To date, displaced persons have self-generated over 700,00USD through NaTakallam.

Job Description

The main purpose of the position is to assist NaTakallam’s Social media/Marketing communication team with a wide range of graphic work. Arabic skills is encouraged for the position. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to website redesign projects, visual marketing assets, and other graphic projects as relevant. The intern’s task may vary but the core responsibilities would include:
• Work with the wider Communications team to create and implement campaigns
• Creating content for our social media, such as our language learning posts (‘word of
the day’)
• Contributing to graphic design needs with NaTakallam’s communication materials
• Create engaging blog and social media graphic design
• Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis
• Monitor analytics with social media team to identify viable ideas
• Provide virtual support to our team at live and online events
• Attend weekly team meetings (online conference call)

Preferred Experience

• Globally curious/oriented mindset
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, Indesign, Adobe
• Excellent research skills to research content in line with NaTakallam’s social media
guidelines/communications
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently in a fast paced and non-traditionally
structured environment
• Organized, highly attentive to detail
• Commitment to the mission of NaTakallam
