Job Description

The Core team is responsible of Heuritech's data processing pipeline, which retrieves millions of Instagram posts every day and process them with our Deep Learning prediction models. The annotated data are used by the Product team to provide Heuritech's clients with detailed statistics and insights on their products.

As a Data Engineer in the Core team, you will work to improve the design of our data processing pipeline to make it more scalable, robust and easily monitorable.

SPECIFIC MISSIONS

·  Dive into our data processing pipeline to propose optimizations and enhancements
·  Review our data architecture to help us create a roadmap for scalability
·  Develop back-office tools to improve the internal processes (e.g., dataset creation, training, ...)

TECHNICAL STACK

·  Python 3.6
·  MongoDB 4
·  Flask
·  MRQ (task queue system similar to Celery)
·  Gitlab CI
·  Docker / Docker Compose / Kubernetes

Preferred Experience

We are looking for a data engineer with the following profile:

·  2+ years experience in Python for backend development
·  Extensive knownledge on MongoDB internals
·  Worked on ETL / data processing projects with significant volume of data
·  Architect mindset, source of proposal, autonomous
·  Always monitoring what’s happening in the dev community
·  Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment

Nice to have:

·  Experience with other SQL and NoSQL databases
·  Experience with task queue systems (e.g., Celery) and message brokers
