Job Overview and Responsibilities:

The position would reportto Site Production Manager

Key responsibilities

Contribute to maintaining high safety standards

Ensure that all process engineering activities comply with HSE policies and regulations

Identify and control/minimize the potential HSE risks in the process.

Develop and implement process improvement programs

Coordinate and follow up plant process improvement projects.

Support the Manufacturing Excellence program.

Contribute to the development of proposals and projects.

Follow up production performance and propose initiatives to improve competitiveness.

Perform projects in the domain of process improvement and/or development.

Define and manage industrial projects

Manage assigned projects or sub-projects under supervision of the manager; take corrective actions when necessary.

Participate in the determination of the technical feasibility and the economic value of a project or study.

Study, analyze and define the key technologies to invest in.

Translate industrial goals in projects (project statement, budget, team and resources).

Determine the technical feasibility and appraise the economic value of projects.

Follow up project results, timing and cost and intervene when necessary.

Assist the production manager

Assist the manager at critical moments in order to realize the production plans, and ensure troubleshooting when necessary.

Support daily production, in terms of Safety, Quality and Productivity.

Provide direct engineering support to production to ensure that product is running within SOP and to the desired quality standards.

Strong sense of quality for end-user customers.
                    Establish and maintain control of process metrics and data such as cycle time, productivity, uptime, yields, etc. to ensure existing                                    processes are in control.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor degree or above, in Chemical Engineering.

3 years+ of experience working in chemical processing or chemical manufacturing operations (as a plus)

Knowledge / experience in project management, information system,statistical control, 6sigma methodology (as a plus).
