Aroma Performance is a world’s largest integrated producer of vanillin for the flavors and fragrances industries and also produce synthetic intermediates used in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and electronics.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

Role Statement Primary Purpose
Provide day-to-day production engineering support for the Aroma Performance Production units. Direct the safe and efficient operation of the Cathy area production units, while upholding HSE standards and policies. 
Establish and drive plant performance indicators, including raw material, energy usage, cost, and overall equipment efficiency.
Major Responsibilities
Safety - Ensures plant operations are conducted in a manner that maximizes the safety of the employees and surrounding community by conforming to regulated standards and requirements. Participate as necessary in PHMP and PSM requirements, including but not limited to: HAZOP Reviews, Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews, Incident Reporting, Management of Change, and Process Hazard Analysis.
Quality - Works with lab technicians, supervisors and operators to aid in the response to customer issues, quality escapes and other systemic quality issues.  Supports teams in root cause analysis. Monitors quality critical parameters in the process and analytical data to proactively address quality issues. 
Continuous Improvement/Productivity –Utilizes knowledge of process and equipment to monitor and drive plant performance indicators including overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), reaction yields, unit operation compliance, raw material, and energy usage.
Utilize LEAN methodology and other improvement tools to develop and safely implement improvement projects within allocated budgets and time schedules. 
Daily SAP production entry. 

Education and Experience

3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelors of Science, Chemical Engineering desired.

Skills

Daily SAP production entry. 
Participate in the month-end closing process. 
Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures.
Develop and conduct training programs for Operations, including both classroom and field training.
