Composite Materials is a top-tier supplier to the aerospace engineered materials market known for its expertise in design materials and process engineering. We deliver optimal material
solutions to address our customer’s most challenging demand for new high-performance materials that reduce weight, improve aerodynamics, and ultimately lower the total part costs for customers. The business supplies composites technologies to civil and military aircraft manufacturers which comprises the
majority of sales, with the balance of sales into various industrial markets.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

·  Responsible to meet and exceed production line OEE goals related to on-line time and capability of the line unit operations. Lead problem solving teams and implementation of process and machine solutions for project definition, project management as required, and project execution, either as team leader or team member.
Project NEMO scale up to commercialization:

·  Support planning and execution of the commissioning activities for Process systems, material handling and mechanical/utility systems.
·  Maintain Project Document Library after EPCM “As Built” handover up to handover to Operations &Maintenance team.
·  Update plant systems with inventories of spares and procurement philosophy to maintain proper inventory of the spares
·  Take solution oriented approach to achieve the critical commissioning milestones.
·  Lead the development of training documentation & Standard Operating Procedures for maintenance related activities.
·  Define predictive and preventative maintenance programs for the production line, and turnaround frequency/durations/requirements
Day To Day Operations (after commercialization)

·  Be a leader in safety, reducing risk to people/equipment/infrastructure in any area of maintenance and operations.
·  Use Solvay’s reliability framework to improve plant capacity and reliability.
·  Plan maintenance and modification work. 
·  Manage the work order backlog using a standard work order management process. 
·  Schedule and coordinate maintenance and modification work with the production unit. 
·  Schedule, coordinate, and manage turnaround activity.
·  Assist the unit manager in matters related to maintenance budget and expenses. 
·  Assist process engineering and operations in troubleshooting and improving OEE.
·  Evaluate potential capital improvements. 
·  Support process improvement objectives where FMEA type of tools are required.
Training

·  Project management (FEL and Execution)
·  CAPEX01-Capital Spend Management Process Performance
·  Assist the manufacturing and plant management with work prioritization through recommendations of process improvement needs.
·  Manage budgets and projects to completion within time parameters.
Continuous Improvement
● Support process improvement objectives where FMEA type of tools are required.

Education and Experience

·  Must have Bachelor's degree of Science Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Equivalent.  
·  Experience with mechanical and process design, project engineering, and small scale project management
·  Experience using SAP preferred, not required
·  Experience in CAD systems for basic document updates and design concepts
·  4 – 7 years Maintenance engineering or machine lead experience.
·  Demonstrated problem solving ability to independently or collaboratively solve a complex problem.
·  Demonstrate excellent organizational skills in the areas of project management, time management, and work prioritization.
·  Demonstrate resilience in completing projects with significant time and resource constraints.

Skills

Nice to have:  
Prior maintenance experience with scale up of operations from start-up to commercialization

Additional Information

·  Must be able to perform successfully in a fast paced, high stress environment, performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature 
·  Must be able to occasionally work varied hours and overtime to accommodate production operation needs that occur outside of standard business hours 
·  Must be able to use hands/fingers to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place detect and position productivity machinery such as production equipment and computers 
·  Must be able to be exposed to and work in a production environment that can experience extreme swings in temperatures both cold and hot. 
·  Must be able to stand and walk while working on a concrete floor 75% of the time
·  Must to able to carry, lift, transport and position material weighing a maximum of 20lbs 
·  Must be able to push or pull equipment/material weighing up to 40 lbs
·  Must be able to climb stairs, ladders or balance to ascend, descend and traverse stairs and work platforms to perform work duties 
·  Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or position self to maintain and position material used in production 
·  Must be able to see to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate and assess quality of product produced in production to meet quality standards
