Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

· 
The Power, Utilities & Infrastructure team is part of the Investment Banking franchise of Société Générale and covers the sector on a global basis

· 
Sector's coverage includes inter alia: (i) Conventional and Renewable Power Generation, (ii) Waste, (iii) Energy infrastructure, (iv) Transportation infrastructure

Summary of the key purposes of the role

· 
The position will be based in London within the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure M&A team

· 
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to get involved in a rapidly changing industry landscape in Europe

· 
The successful candidate will receive a very well-rounded perspective of the development of Power, Utilities and Infrastructure sectors in this position

· 
The successful candidate will be joining an award-winning team in a hardworking but friendly atmosphere

The successful candidate will be covering multiple Power, Utilities & Infrastructure subsectors and geographies, and will be involved in M&A execution as well as origination of new transactions (marketing)

Summary of responsibilities

· 
Assisting in origination and execution of M&A transactions across the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure sectors

· 
Involved in industry and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation analysis and financial modelling

· 
Involved in the preparation of presentations for clients and potential investors

Delegated Responsibilities

· 
Bi-weekly meetings

· 
No own responsibility per see, person will be under the direct and permanent oversight of Analysts / Associates and or VPs

Profile Required

Competencies

Technical skills

· 
University graduate, ideally with internship or work experience in corporate finance / accountancy / financial services industry

· 
Genuine interest in the Power, utilities and infrastructure sectors

· 
Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills

· 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Power Point and Word

Behavioural Skills

· 
Articulate, corporate and well presented

· 
Highly motivated

· 
Multitasking capabilities

· 
Entrepreneurial initiative

· 
Team player

Regulatory Skills

· 
Eligible to work in the UK or equivalent
