Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

Lyxor Asset Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Societe Generale Group represented in the UK by Lyxor Asset Management UK LLP that is authorised and regulated by the FCA. Lyxor ETFs is an investment specialist that creates and promotes exchange traded products, in all asset classes, to institutional investors. With a strong culture of risk-management and research, Lyxor stands amongst the leaders in innovative, transparent and flexible asset management.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

The ETF sales main objective is to increase the use of Lyxor ETFs among professional investors across the countries he/she is covering in order to increase Lyxor's overall market share.

The role involves the promotion of the use of ETFs among professional investors who currently do not use ETFs as replacements for active funds, futures, or direct investments in Equities and Bonds.

The role also involves the identification and prioritization of his/her own client portfolio, in conjunction with their line manager, which will involve direct coverage of 40-50 client accounts, with around 200 individual contacts across Portfolio Managers, fund analysts and dealers.

Summary of Responsibilities

Promote the Lyxor ETF product range across target clients in UK & Ireland.

· 
Achieve growth and sales targets set by line manager.

· 
Comply with all applicable market regulation, including MIFID specifications, Sales handbook and Business principles of SG.

· 
Gain extensive intelligence on the markets and clients covered as well as comprehensive knowledge of the Lyxor ETF range and competitor products.

· 
Help organize and participate in promotional and industry events for professional investors in conjunction with Lyxor ETF marketing.

· 
Help define and manage press relations in conjunction with Lyxor ETF marketing.

Delegated Responsibilities

The ETF sales can delegate minor tasks to a trainee working with him/her, such as market analysis and event organization.

He/she will also actively collaborate with Lyxor ETF CRM and marketing teams to make sure clients requests, press and event are properly managed in line with the business strategy for UK & Ireland.

Level of Autonomy and Authority

High level of autonomy to manage client relations and to achieve ETF sales targets, as well as a high level of autonomy to organise events and meetings

Profile Required

Competencies

· 
Very good and deep knowledge of ETFs and fund distribution

· 
Very good knowledge of relevant institutional investors in country(ies) covered

· 
Strong selling skills and experience and of managing client relations

· 
Good knowledge of ETF ecosystem, across issuance, structuring and liquidity

· 
Good knowledge of brokers and market makers

· 
In depth knowledge/understanding of financial markets and asset allocation

· 
Be an ambassador and represent Lyxor internally within MARK and externally

· 
Ability to influence effectively

· 
Strong promotion skills to be used both internally and externally

· 
Strong interest in the development of the Lyxor ETF brand

Work Experience

Proven experience of successfully selling ETFs or similar investment products to target client base

Education

Good Degree Level

Languages

Fluent English a necessity
