Description of Business Line:

The Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) department has worldwide responsibility for supplying Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) with all the technology and operations resources necessary for them to function under competitive conditions in terms of technological standards, service quality, and cost.

The GBSU technology division is responsible for back-office systems development globally, which supports front-office trading activity in North America, Europe, and Asia. Our group provides regulatory reporting: tools, engines, and other applications necessary for successful post-trade reporting. Teams in our group are located all over the globe and support the rapidly growing business with a combination of in-house and vendor systems

Part of a global setup for regulatory reporting activities; the financial regulatory team develops on a common platform, with applications deployed in Paris, London, Chicago, New York, Montreal, Bangalore, and Madrid. The team has recently moved towards Agile and continuous delivery methodologies (Kanban) and tools (Jira / Wekan / Impulse / Sonar / Jenkins).

The GBSU/FRM/LTA (financial regulatory reporting) department is primarily engaged to provide IT solutions for MARK / DFIN / RISQ business line clients internally. The responsibilities of this department include:

·  Developing and maintaining an internal business facing application/schema
·  Developing and maintaining MARK reports used for their client profitability metrics
·  Developing and maintaining DFIN reports used for their RWA & EAD calculations
·  Developing and maintaining DFIN reports used for their RWA & EAD calculations
·  Developing and maintaining RISQ reports used for their RWA calculations
·  Working with the downstream liquidity team to support their data-model as an upstream data provider

Summary of the Key Purposes of the Role:

The AMER team requires a DevOps Engineer to supplement the existing team. The main role of this resource will be to work on FIN_REG application; the financial regulatory schema application built to support our reporting capabilities (Capital & Liquidity) which provides consistent data across asset classes and regions.

Main tasks include, but are not limited to, the following

·  Act as the main point of contact with the regulatory reporting business users in the US, UK, & France.
·  Design and develop financial regulatory reporting solutions for our business users.
·  Be responsible for software releases, configuration, monitoring, and support of all production system components and infrastructure.
·  Troubleshoot technical or functional issues in a complex financial environment to provide timely resolution, with various applications and platforms that are global.
·  Work with users to understand and gather their needs in our catalogue. Then participate on the required developments.
·  Manage several streams of work concurrently.
·  Get in touch with our teams abroad to deploy and adapt existing processes and tools.
·  Bring a passion to stay on top of DevOps trends, experiment with and learn new CI/CD technologies.
·  Be adaptable to take over support, monitor, and continue production support coverage from global teams.

Profile Required

Technical skills required:

·  Strong Oracle PL/SQL programming skills.
·  Strong functional and technical requirement gathering and writing skills.
·  Understanding of Agile and CI/CD concepts.
·  JIRA experience.
·  Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated; able to build and sustain long-term relationships with business and colleagues.
·  Ability to solve problems with a keen eye for details; a strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to the team.
·  Self-directed, independent, and comfortable in fast paced, ambiguous, and matrix environments.
·  Can manage multiple tasks and use judgment to prioritize and escalate to achieve desired outcomes.
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt one's communication to the audience.

Prior Work experience Required:

·  Experience in an IT department involving the coordination and implementation of development.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or Higher in Computer science or related field
