Responsibilities

At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings : Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Services to asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.

The Global Markets functions is a trusted partner to external clients (Corporates, Financial institutions and Asset Managers) in market activities, offering a cross-expertise in Research, Investment and Risk Solutions, Execution and Prime Services.

Within the Equities Market functions of SOCIETE GENERALE operate the teams responsible for the Prime Services business.

They regroup listed execution, clearing and financing activities within Societe Generale Global Market and are present in all three regions across the globe.

This MARK/EQD/PSC business, cover the following sub-business activities:

·  Prime Services : Clearing and margin financing for listed and OTC derivatives, OTC non-cleared activity of Prime Brokerage clients, Listed FX facilitation, Agency execution for Equity derivatives and listed equity agency execution, Clearing collateral management
·  Commodities Agency : Agency execution, clearing and margin financing for listed commodities

As part of these Market activities directly linked to Prime Services stand the CCM collateral trading desk, which aims is to optimize the collateral resources that SOCIETE GENERALE need to post to meet its margin requirements at CCP, exchange houses and third parties.

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

· 
To act as a business developer for CCM EMEA, enhancing and reporting produced by the trading desk

·  To develop and automate the internal information flows that are being used by the trading desk
·  To accomplish collateral trading transactions for CCM EMEA, executing principal transactions on:

o Forex swaps, spots and cross-currency swaps

o Cash deposits

o Repo and reverse repo

o Interest rate vanilla swaps

Profile required

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance.

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient in Office application.

You have programming skills (SQL, Python)
