Project Manager: Software Deployment – NA Region (Orlando, FL)

Specific Requirements:

-BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

* PMI PMP certification is desired

The primary responsibilities of Software Deployment Project Manager are:

- Manages the deployment of wind turbine controller/PLC software for new installations and retrofits by actively communicating with global software team and site personnel to actively manage schedule and assist with the coordination of resources.

- Acts as an interface for on site personnel to troubleshoot software performance issues including installation issues, performance, alarm analysis, and deployment hardware issues.

- Coordinates solution of issues with the regional and global software teams and escalates issues based on site priority, commercial impact, and customer satisfaction. - Provide summary and escalation reports to management in Orlando, Spain and Denmark.

- Ability to communicate wind tubine controller/PLC software logic to internal and external customers. Familiarization with software optional features and the impact on operation of the turbine is required.

- Utilize global software documents to provide delivables to internal and external customers in the software change management process.

- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.

- Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.

- Utilize project management skills to drive service engineering cases to resolution. (MS Project, PMI)

- Show professionalism, respect, and understanding when supporting wind technicians and site managers.

- Provide definition and management of special projects.

- Develop project plans; including schedules, work instructions, job hazard analysis, etc.

- Provide remote support and leadership to on-site implementation project managers, and identifies required training for technicians related to special projects.

- Coordinate activities across multiple sites and projects; includes resources, tooling, materials, consumables, logistics, etc.

- Document standardized business procedures and systems to support the regional wind service operations; includes solution design reviews, product change management, unit configuration records, etc.

- Identify process improvements; includes reduction of non-value added operations, increased productivity opportunities, increased safety opportunities, etc.

- Communicate with external and internal customers on project status and updates.

- Contribute to the success of NAM Engineering group – TENA.

- Use good written and verbal communication skills to describe complex faults, participate in preparation of reports, and follow up to final resolution.

- Demonstrate competency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

- Familiarization with data visualization tools preferred (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)

General Requirements: Job Family Responsibilities:

Scheduling and coordination of major segments of projects to meet cost and time objectives.

Routine review of engineering designs and documentation to ensure compliance with project design criteria and standards.

· 
Process of testing and bringing routine systems into an operational state. May provide assistance with routine tests and commissions in well-defined individual components of systems.

· 
Corrective modification of the routine hardware and software systems, projects and/or equipment.

· 
Document job activities through written reports.

Education:

BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of professional principles and skills. Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

Typically up to (>5 years) of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Wind turbine technical competency, operations management in the wind power service industry, or project management certification is an asset.

Working Conditions

Primary working conditions are an office environment. Travel to wind power site locations is required, which may include climbing wind turbines. International travel may be required. Total travel requirement expected to be approximately 10-20%.

Key Working Relationships:

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.

Performance Indicators

Performance indicators will include qualitative and quantitative measures related to case management performance, competency and skills development, process development, and collaboration. Performance indicators and targets will be defined annually, and a formal performance review conducted every six months.
