Job description



Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock business unit is seeking a experiences Technical Writer who will provide comprehensive expertise in support of 

Responsibilities

·  Performing quality review of documents created/updated by colleagues (technical editing and compliance check)

·  Read and evaluate vehicle contracts regarding Technical manuals requirement

·  Work with 3rd party document specialists to deliver Technical manuals per contract

·  Develop SOW (Statement Of Work) contracts for 3rd party Technical Manual suppliers

·  Reviewing and managing externally 3rd party produced documents

·  Works with internal and external customers /suppliers to obtain information

·  Liaise with engineers to discuss manual content.

·  Represent the company and actively participate on or off site to achieve deliverable,s

·  Create, edit and approve Technical Illustrations for use in documentation

·  Maintain and develop relationships with customers to assist the achievement of business targets

Required Knowledge Skills and Experience

·  Highly skilled technical writer with 3-5 years of relevant job experience and educational background in technical writing with organizational of content of manuals

·  Experience and interest in working with document and content management systems

·  Experienced in technical writing in collaboration with engineers and technicians

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, and you will be able to interact at all levels, demonstrate initiative and be a flexible self-starter.

·  Ability to work with the minimum direction and have the ability to work with a wide range of people (both internal and external to Siemens) and be a team player.

·  Advanced user of MS Office tools and systems in general

·  Understanding the importance of adhering to safe working practices while producing high quality, clear and concise documentation

·  Knowledge within gathering and incorporating customer requirements for technical documentation

·  Able to communicate and collaborate with people across all organizational levels

·  Familiar with general Document Management principles/systems

                  Preferred Knowledge Skills, Experience and Education

·  Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or similar programs Corel etc.
