Job Description

Smart Infrastructure

Smart Infrastructure (SI) is shaping the market for intelligent, adaptive infrastructure for today and the future. It addresses the pressing challenges of urbanization and climate change by connecting energy systems, buildings and industries. SI provides customers with a comprehensive end-to-end portfolio from a single source – with products, systems, solutions and services from the point of power generation all the way to consumption. With an increasingly digitalized ecosystem, it helps customers thrive and communities progress while contributing toward protecting the planet. SI creates environments that care. Smart Infrastructure is the North American market leader for safe and secure, energy-efficient and environment-friendly buildings and infrastructures. As a technology partner, service provider, system integrator and product vendor, Smart Infrastructure has offerings for fire protection, life safety and security as well as building automation, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and energy management.

What is the Smart Infrastructure Summer Intern Program?

The Smart Infrastructure (SI) Summer Internship gives you the opportunity to learn Siemens while offering you full exposure to the SI organization. You will gain an understanding of nearly all departments, business lines and rolls within SI, enabling you to understand where and how you may best fit within our organization. Under the guidance of a designated mentor, you will be immersed in Siemens products, technologies and culture, discovering what makes our company a global leader.

Through this extensive program, SI Summer Interns can expect challenging, meaningful experience in various areas of our business including Engineering, Project Management, and Technical Sales. Throughout the 10-12 week assignment, there will also be opportunities to participate in regular Lunch and Learn activities and structured trainings, all while developing professional skills and capabilities.

Participants who successfully complete the internship program will be considered for full-time opportunities in the Sales Development Program and/or Operations Development Program within Siemens Smart Infrastructure on graduation.
