Researchers in the RTD Driveline team focus on development of innovative methods in CAE with emphasis on driveline simulations and virtual sensing. Along with research, members of the team also create and contribute to the development of software components of the Simcenter 3D simulation platform. Recently, Simcenter 3D Motion Transmission Builder was released as a product developed entirely within the RTD team and received positive reactions from the users.

Responsibilities

You will work directly with the members of the RTD team. As a software developer within a research team, you will contribute to turning ambitious research ideas and prototypes into mature software products of high quality. This entails architectural and design decisions, implementation, testing of the product, and finally its deployment. At the same time, you will also contribute to maintaining and improving the already existing solutions within the team.

Profile

We are looking for a software developer with a passion to create high quality software. In order to be a successful candidate, you should

·  have a MSc or PhD degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent industrial or academic experience in software development,
· 
know at least one object-oriented language (C++, C#, VB) and understand of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures,

· 
be a motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills, flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies,

· 
have good communication skills and be fluent in English.

Following are nice-to-have assets:

·  basic knowledge of numerical methods and computational mechanics (multi-body dynamics, FEM, CFD),
· 
experience with developing simulation software in Fortran, GUI, and/or software for real-time systems,

· 
experience with other programming languages such as Python or Matlab and software development tools (Visual Studio, version control systems, etc.).
