What will you do?

The Field Service Mechanic will be responsible for the physical disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and recording of as found conditions, and reassembly of rotating equipment including (but not limited to) compressors (turbo, centrifugal, reciprocating), steam turbines, pumps, gearboxes, and generators. The incumbent will work as part of a team to ensure that all projects are completed safely, correctly and meet or exceed customer expectations. Follow and promote all safety and quality directives in support of Siemens Canada Limited commitment to being the industry premier service provider to our clients.

What will you need to succeed?

·  Must possess a red seal ticket in Millwright or enrolled in a Millwright apprenticeship program
·  Experience in field service on rotating equipment as industrial mechanic or related experience preferred
·  Travel required at minimum 70% of the time and extended stay at customer site locations for long durations
·  Industrial rotating equipment (compressors, turbines, gearboxes, generators) disassembly, cleaning, and inspection including the accurate collection and recording of technical inspection data for equipment repair proposals.
·  Maintaining clear and concise daily work records and job logs.
·  Use of basic problem-solving skills in terms of gathering facts, analyzing the cause and selecting the best most accurate solution.
·  Maintenance of tooling and equipment and regular house keeping ensuring an organized and safe working environment in the field.
·  Responsible for following of all safe work practices, Siemens safety and quality policies and procedures during normal daily operations.
