Siemens Healthineers has created a program to develop Field Service Technicians. This is to help us fulfill our customer commitments as we are experiencing growth. This position is a unique opportunity to enter Siemens Healthineers as an entry level Field Service Technician. During the first 6-12 months the selected candidates will be trained at the Siemens Training Center (Cary, NC) learning to perform service on MRI, CT, X-ray and Angiography equipment. The selected candidate will also train side-by-side with an experienced engineer to improve their knowledge of the equipment and the Field Service Technician role. Once training is complete the technician will primarily provide support within their region, but must also be ready to support other areas within the Zone as needed.

The Field Service Technician is a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens imaging equipment at customer sites. Our Field Service Technicians represent the "Face of Siemens" to the customer. The Field Service Engineers reports to the Customer Success Manager at Siemens Healthineers. This position is responsible for working within the region and providing support as needed in other regions throughout the Midwest Zone. This position will require 50% travel to other regions within the zone. The zone consists of Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisiana as well as parts of Tennessee and Alabama.

This is a 2nd Shift position – 12P to 9P.

Responsibilities:

Our Field Service Technician will perform service, preventative maintenance, modifications and installations on AX/XP (1) and CT/MR (2) diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately. 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Minimum high school diploma; experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment; strong electronics and computer background needed; previous experience with                    AX/XP (1) and CT/MR (2) strong preference; 1 - 2 years of field service experience is needed, as well as strong customer service and communication skills; must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment; valid driver's license and good driving record required; must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting; must be willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate; ability to travel and provide service in assigned region and throughout the Midwest Zone as needed; willingness to travel 50% of time out side of region; willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Technical associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; previous experience with AX/XP (1) and CT/MR (2) equipment strongly preferred.
