Export Control & Customs Expert

We are looking for an Export Control and Customs (ECC) Expert to join our team based at Siemens Healthineers, Sudbury Suffolk, to ensure shipment compliance while adhering to global trade processes and regulations.

This role will involve interaction across all Siemens Sudbury sites, as well as the ECC team in Oxford, Llanberis and Frimley.

As part of Siemens Healthineers the POC business area helps enable better care to patients with chronic diseases or life-threatening conditions by providing fast and reliable information that help diagnosis. The Sudbury site manufactures and delivers worldwide medical devices and consumables used for POC-testing therefore being pivotal to the success of the POC business unit.

Job Description:

·  Ensure compliance with Siemens Healthineers internal Regulations on Export Control and Customs, as well as UK, EU and USA regulations
·  Determination of product specific classification and maintaining product master data in SAP
·  Complete monthly checks on export and import Management Support System (MSS) reports
·  Complete monthly checks on EU Intrastats
·  Maintain Supplier Origin Declarations
·  Application of export/ import licences
·  Operating Inward Processing scheme, ensuring data integrity and traceability within SAP
·  Responsible for freight local agreements and KPIs
·  Joint responsibility for the HMRC AEO Supply Chain Security certification, ensuring compliance with criteria
·  Providing expert knowledge, guidance and training on ECC and Supply Chain Security topics within the business
·  Aviation Security Topics
·  Deputy for Logistics, coordinating shipping administrative duties when required
·  Attend Known Consignor training to ensure compliance within the regulations
·  Part of Leadership Forum team
·  Work in accordance with the Health & Safety requirements in your area
·  Conduct and complete 5S audits across 3 sites

Person Specification:

Essential:

·  Experience within Export Control and Customs, and Supply Chain
·  Excellent communication skills, comfortable with speaking to staff at all levels and able to justify decision making process
·  Good Microsoft skills
·  Ability to work under pressure
·  Ability to work effectively in teams
·  Highly organised and results oriented

Desirable:

·  Experience of working with an ERP system, preferably SAP
·  Familiar with Dangerous Goods
·  Familiar with lean concepts and tools

UK travel will be required as part of this role

A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for this role
