Job Description

Siemens Healthcare is looking for an administrator in a large data analytics environment.
This positon is responsible for Windows and Linux system administration as well as application support for the current (on premise) version of the infrastructure.
The next version of the infrastructure will be in the AZURE cloud and is currently under development. The rollout is planned for the beginning of 2020.

We are aware that a new employee may not bring all skills needed, especially application knowledge.
Of utmost importance is the will to learn, an investigative mind, and the ability to transfer theoretical knowledge into practical use.

Your core responsibilities for the current infrastructure will be:
• Design, installation, configuration, patching and upgrading of the Linux OS.
• Administration, monitoring, maintenance and software installation on Linux servers.
• Microsoft Windows Server installation, administration, support and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining a Java based Hadoop solution.
• Manage Apache/IIS-based web services, SSL certificates and web server configurations tasks.
• Install, Administer, support and maintain MS SQL and Oracle database environment.
• Research and implement, where possible innovative automated approaches for system administration & monitoring tasks.
• Automation of administration & monitoring tasks using Scripting (Bash, Perl, PowerShell, etc).
• Develop and maintain system installation and configuration procedures.
• Support and maintain a Teradata Data Warehouse
• Support and maintain a SAS solution (Data integration, Business Intelligence, Visual Analytics)

Your core responsibilities for the next version of the infrastructure will be:
• Administration, monitoring, maintenance of an MS AZURE based infrastructure containing:
-SAS application VMs based on LINUX
-MS Windows VMs / Linux VMs (Red Hat, SuSE SLES)
-AZURE SQL / MSSQL
-AZURE Data Warehouse / Kusto (Azure Date Explorer)
-AZURE functions
-Oracle instances
• Support and maintain a SAS solution (Data integration, Business Intelligence)
• Support and maintain logical interfaces between AZURE and the Siemens intranet
• Research and implement, where possible innovative automated approaches for system administration & monitoring tasks.
• Automation of administration & monitoring tasks using Scripting (Bash, Perl, PowerShell, etc).
• Manage Apache/IIS-based web services, SSL certificates and web server configurations tasks.

We expect:

• University education (IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields)
• English language on an active level
• Professional experience in server administration in Linux and Windows.
• Skills in configuration of TCP/IP networks (routing, port forwarding, masquerading).
• Experience with Active Directory and user/group administration.
• Research and Analytical skills. Motivated and a self-starter.
• Passionate commitment to quality, success, teamwork, and customer service.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Windows, Office suites, Java, Adobe, and others will be very beneficial.
• The ability to prioritize and organize tasks, inventory, and multi-task will be needed.

Nice to have:
• Knowledge of German language is welcome

salary suggestion: starting from 1600 + VAR*
