Job Description

Position Overview 

SE G NAM Sales is responsible for representing Generation Sales in a designated regional territory, finding sales opportunities,establishing customer relationships, and promoting Siemens gas turbine product line and associated solutions, with a specific focus on distributed generation and combine heat/power opportunities. The territory for this position is for all Federal Markets in the US and Generation opportunities in the South West United States, where the candidate will be based. 

Responsibilities 

· 

Identify New Unit Sales Opportunities

· 

Aggressively pursue new opportunities to sell Siemens gas turbines 

· 

Understand customers’ business model, value drivers, key challenges and opportunities, technical and key commercial requirements, evaluation method and criteria. 

· 

Assist in the development winning strategy and target price in conjunction with PG Hub Sales 

· 

Develop expertise in responsible regional and regulatory trends in order to help drive strategies and optimize Siemens’ value proposition

· 

Develop and Manage Important Customer Relationships 

· 

Identify and develop strong relationships with owner engineers, architect engineers, EPCs and end user customers within several critical Small Power market verticals: All Federal Markets in USA, Regional Municipalities, Colleges/Universities, Pulp & Paper, Chemical, Refinery, Airports, Hospitals 

· 

Forge effective relationships with internal colleagues operating within the same market verticals (i.e., Energy Management, Building Technologies, Siemens Government, etc). 

· 

Facilitate executive-level interactions between customer executives and Siemens executives

· 

Promote Siemens gas turbine portfolio 

· 

Execute the priorities of the represented business units 

· 

Represent Siemens at relevant industry events and conferences 

· 

Follow and support the defined customer communication strategy

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

· 

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant experience 

· 

10+ years of Sales related experience with a proven track record, preferably in the relevant industry / market. 

· 

Previous experience with relationships with owner engineers, architect engineers, EPCs and end user customers within several critical Small Power market verticals: All Federal Markets in USA, Regional Municipalities, Colleges/Universities, Pulp & Paper, Chemical, Refinery, Airports, Hospitals

· 

Previous knowledge of SalesForce and Quip

· 

Familiary with Microsoft Office

· 

Up to 80% travel expected (by car, within designated region)

· 

Ability to be based in the Southwest region of the United States

·
