The Regional Security Expert is a 70% Sales and 30% Engineering position supporting their assigned regional Sales Channel members. The RSE is expected to support the Sales Channel in the demonstrating, selling, quoting and estimating of security related projects as well as provide pre-sales support in the form of demonstrations, market positioning and competitive analysis. The RSE will focus on the Regions Security Line of Business to include Access Control and Integrated Systems and Security Field Devices. The majority of the work will be performed in the field or at customer locations; there will be regional travel for this position as well as conference calls and Webex meetings. Candidates can work from home or from a local Schneider Electric office.

Regional Security Expert is responsible for actively driving and managing the Security business within their territory to include pipeline management, A&E Activities, Lunch & Learns. The RSE will need to posses technical sales skills to understand the competitive landscape of an opportunity to better position the Schneider Electric solutions while also building relationships within the territory to grow the business. The RSE will also have opportunities to collaborate with other Schneider Electric product line experts as a key technical advisor and product advocate for our solutions.

Regional Security Expert must be able to articulate and present our technology systems and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all Technical and Sales issues of their accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales and delivery process.

Primary Responsibilities

· Establish relationships for assigned existing Sales Channel

· Identify and recruit new Sales Channel

· Manage and maintain a strong pipeline to deliver sales objectives

· Provide technical application and product selection support to the Sales Channel

· Serve as a Business Development Expert with the A&E community

· Support getting Schneider Electric solutions included in RFP's and RFQ's

· Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle

· Understand customer business drivers & goals and keep up-to-date with customer's business situations

· Develop and Maintain a solid understanding of available market and business opportunities and make recommendations to increase market share

· Forecast the expectations and update the bFO Sales planning tool

· Coordinate local events regarding Schneider Electric Building Security Systems

· Present/Demo Schneider Electric's portfolio product solutions to customers at field events such as conferences, seminars and others as required

· Provide presentations (lunch-n-learns) to local A&E/Construction Design firms and Security Consultants

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by training, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

· Identify and Track potential opportunities with New customers, additional projects with the existing customer base and with Service

Bring new Schneider Electric offers (Systems, Products or Services), as they become available, to their assigned territory

Qualifications :

Qualifications / Skills

· Self-motivated with a proven track record in Building Security System Sales and knowledge of Integrated Technology

· Industry knowledge of most competitive systems and solutions

· Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate professionally to customers and all levels of an organization

· Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches

· Be proficient with Word, Excel, Power Point and other business tools as needed

· Relevant technical field experience is a desired trait.

Education & Experience

· 3-5+ years of technical experience with Building Security Systems

· 5-8 years of direct sales experience: Products as well as Solutions

· Engineering Degree desired. Commensurate field experience will be considered

Travel

· 65%, primarily within territory/region
